Process Floating Ball Valves
A floating ball valve is a type of valve that uses a ball that floats on top of a liquid to control the flow of the liquid. The ball is connected to a lever that can be used to open and close the valve. When the valve is open, the ball floats, allowing the liquid to flow. When the valve is completed, the ball sinks and blocks the flow of the liquid. Floating ball valves are used in a variety of industries, such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and water treatment.
Floating ball valves are available in various materials, such as brass, stainless steel, and plastic. The material chosen will depend on the application in which the valve will be used.

Trunnion Mounted Ball Valves
Trunnion ball valves are quarter-turn valves designed to control the flow in a pipeline. With a ball connected to the stem on one end and a trunnion on the other, the ball is securely held in place. This design makes trunnion ball valves suitable for both low- and high-pressure applications and reduces operational costs compared to floating ball valves.
In high-pressure settings, trunnion ball valves excel. Unlike floating ball valves, where the ball shifts slightly to create a seal on one side, the trunnion design keeps the ball fixed, ensuring a proper seal on both sides without added torque to the stem. This results in better sealing and lower torque requirements, making trunnion ball valves the optimal choice for high-pressure applications.
